CrossNet offers programs related to utility assistance, furniture, transportation, financial guidance, money management, and maintaining housing. CrossNet also provides referrals for county and state poverty-related programs.

CrossNet Ministries strives to learn and connect with services and resources in the county that benefit the ELANCO community. We desire to support individuals in the ELANCO community to build their resources.

Housing

Our housing programs focus on Short & Long Term assistance & Homeless Prevention

Pathways to Housing is a 12-18 month program that offers safe and affordable housing to those experiencing or about to experience homelessness in the ELANCO community. Participants build their emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial resources during their time in the program.

CrossNet Ministries works with families and individuals who are eligible with housing support and referrals. Please contact Joan at 717-355-2454 for more information.

Financial Educational Programs

These workshops are designed to help build financial resources and equip individuals to help make more informed decisions regarding finances. For information on the next workshop please contact Joan Yunginger at joan@elancocross.org or at 717-355-2454.

Program workshops:

  • 1:1 Budgeting – Find out what your current budget looks like
  • 1:1 Credit Repair – An in-depth look at your credit reports
  • Money & Me – Learn how to budget your money.

Getting Ahead in a Just Getting By World

This 14-week workshop is designed to help participants investigate causes of poverty-related issues, discover the resources needed to overcome life’s problems, and create a strong support system. These workshops include dinner, a workbook, and a $25 gift card per session for full participation. For more information on the next workshop, please contact joan@elancocross.org.

Transportation

CrossNet’s Transportation Ministry is available for those in ELANCO who need access to medical or educational appointments. This includes school meetings, doctor, dental, and mental health appointments. Contact Joan for more details at joan@elancocross.org 

Cross Cares

Cross Cares is a program designed to meet specific physical needs by connecting churches and individuals with those who need resources. Based on eligibility, Cross Cares can assist on providing physical items including, transportation, diapers, and formula. This program is only for those who live in the ELANCO School District. Servants, Inc. Partnership

CrossNet partners with Servants, Inc. to bring together willing volunteers with homeowners in need to offer basic home repairs and maintenance. This program focuses on individuals in our community having safe places to live and thrive.

Success Coach and Shared Success

CrossNet partners with the Employer Resource Network (ERN) and local employers to provide a Success Coach for their employees. The desire is to provide resources and support to employees for job retention and success.

Poverty Education/Bridges out of Poverty

CrossNet Ministries believes in the power of education and opportunity to empower our community to take positive steps forward in addressing poverty. Community members looking to build up their resources are invited to join our “Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ By World” class, offered over a 16-week period (See above). CrossNet is committed to offering relevant training to their staff and volunteers, including the Bridges out of Poverty framework (created by Dr. Payne, DeVol, and Dreussi Smith), and training about the wide-ranging impact of trauma.

Celebrate Recovery

This is a Christ-Centered Recovery Program.  Celebrate Recovery, a weekly, faith-based 12-step program, is designed to help individuals find freedom from hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It is based on the eight principles from the Beatitudes.  It takes place every Thursday from 6-9 PM at Petra Church: 565 Airport Rd, New Holland, PA.  Fellowship & Food starts at 6 PM and the meeting starts at 7 PM. Everyone is welcome! Contact us at elancocelebraterecovery@gmail.com or at 717-587-2202.
