Dear CrossNet Ministries Supporter,

On behalf of the CrossNet Ministries Board of Directors, we wish to share with you an important and heartfelt announcement. Effective December 31, 2025, Carl Edwards will be discontinuing his role as Executive Director and will exit CrossNet Ministries. 

Since January, 2025, Carl has served as Executive Director and was deeply appreciated and valued by the Board. While Carl’s decision is disappointing and knowing Carl will be dearly missed, the Board respectfully honors Carl’s decision and blesses the Lord’s leading into his next chapter of life. Throughout his nine-year tenure, Carl has significantly impacted our ELANCO community while serving as Director of Development and Director of Youth Programs. 

Carl and the Board are committed to ensuring a seamless transition occurs, and the many services and ministries provided by CrossNet will continue uninterrupted. Please refer to his letter below. 

A search for a new Executive Director will begin immediately. A search team has been appointed from among the Board. North Group Consultants will assist the Board in the search process.    

As we step into the search process, we ask for your continued support and prayers. We are confident that with your continued trust and partnership CrossNet will continue to thrive and make a positive impact for Christ in our community.

Please read below for an important update from Executive Director, Carl Edwards, Jr.

Dear Supporters,

I realize this news may come as a surprise, as I recently stepped into the role of Executive Director. Serving at CrossNet Ministries for the past nine years as the Director of Development and Director of the Youth Center has truly been one of the greatest joys of my life. I have a deep love for this organization and its mission. This mission is only accomplished through the incredible people who make it possible: our staff, volunteers, donors, and community members who serve ELANCO families in the name of Jesus.

Through much prayer and reflection, I am resigning as Executive Director and stepping away from CrossNet Ministries. I have recognized that while I remain wholeheartedly committed to the mission, the Executive Director role does not align with my leadership gifts in the way I had hoped. Stepping away is not an easy decision, but I believe it is the right decision for myself and for CrossNet as we seek to ensure the strongest possible leadership for the future. I am thankful to have helped support the ministry and team through a major transitional year.  I look forward with expectation to all that God will continue to do in and through CrossNet Ministries.

In the months ahead, I will continue to serve with the same passion and commitment that has guided me from the beginning, walking alongside our neighbors and ensuring that CrossNet remains a place of help and hope. This is God’s ministry.  He has always been faithful, and I trust He will continue to guide and provide for every need. I don’t know what next year holds but trusting the Lord for an opportunity that fits my wiring and gifts. 

I am profoundly grateful for the privilege of serving here and for the many relationships formed along the way. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and partnership in this important work. It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of what God has been doing in the ELANCO community
