Position title: Executive Director
Status: Full-Time Salary
Reports to: Board of Directors
CrossNet Ministries Mission:
CrossNet Ministries is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. CrossNet exists to offer help and hope in the name of Jesus Christ by empowering people in the ELANCO Community. CrossNet Ministries offers programs in the areas of youth, social services, community, and food and nutrition. It is our desire to build relationships and build resources in the lives of those we serve.
Position Summary:
Directly accountable to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the Chief Administrative Officer of the organization and is ultimately responsible for the overall management of the organization and all aspects of the organization’s operations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Resource development and maintenance.
2. Program accountability and planning.
3. Community and public relations.
4. Personnel management.
5. Fiscal management.
6. Liaison to the Board of Directors.
Additionally, the Executive Director will work with CrossNet Staff toward the achievement of the ENDS of the organization and will oversee and direct the ministry as prescribed by the Board of Directors via Board Policy.
Responsibilities:
- Champion CrossNet Ministries’ mission, statement of faith and aligning values.
- Provide leadership in the planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive service delivery system.
- Ensure that communication efforts among CrossNet partners, staff, volunteers and donors is done in a manner which ensures alignment and effective information sharing.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, schools and agencies related to family support programs.
- Ensure high quality programs through innovative program development evaluations and ongoing training of staff.
- Report to the Board of Directors and ensure the achievement of the ENDS.
- Willingness to become proficient with Policy Governance as the governing model implemented by the Board.
- Willingness to become proficient with the Board of Directors Policy Manual and adhere to board policies as outlined.
- Responsible for oversight, planning and direction of programs and daily activities
- Create and track annual budget. Regularly report on financial health of the organization to the Board of Directors.
- Oversee the implementation of Strategic Plan, communicating the results to the Board of Directors
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff in developing sound operating plans while maintaining compliance with policies, laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee Donor engagement and development
- Lead and model the approach to Community Relations; being involved, present and serving in the community with local churches, para-church organizations, businesses and other non-profits.
- Maintain a program evaluation model that ensures programs are meeting end goals and providing support.
- Model accessible leadership by attending programs and being present for staff.
- Development new programs based on the assessed needs of the community.
- Responsible for culture and ensuring Aligning Values are incorporated in daily operations.
- Responsible for effectively utilizing staff resources including actively participating in the hiring/termination process, coaching, implementing retention strategies, ensuring the effective utilization of staffing resources, and effectively delegating responsibilities.
- Management and oversight of various real estate properties owned by CrossNet Ministries.
- Write/oversee communications including appeal letters, newsletters, grants, etc.
- Be knowledgeable of resources and other non-profit organizations in Lancaster County.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Committed to the mission, vision and policies of CrossNet Ministries
- Ability to show compassion for youth and families in poverty and treat each person that enters the doors at CrossNet with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to build, encourage and work with teams.
- Proven strength in organization and administrative skills.
- Highly proficient computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Display and model a servant style of leadership.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in organizational leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience and role responsibilities.
