First Day of Power Pack Project

October 12 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Power Packs Project is designed to help families stretch their grocery money, prepare low-cost meals over the weekend and have their children fed well and ready to learn when they go to school.

Each Thursday afternoon, participating families receive a recipe and the ingredients to make the meal. In this unique program, participants receive food to make the recipe as well as cereal, peanut butter and soup. We also provide education on how to prepare low-cost healthy meals, nutrition, food safety, and shopping strategies to assure that children are well-fed and ready to learn.

CrossNet Ministries is an affiliate of Power Packs and offers two (2) distribution sites in the Elanco School District: CrossNet Ministries located at 127 W. Franklin Street and Weaverland Mennonite Church located at 210 Weaverland Valley Rd., East Earl.

If your family qualifies for the free or reduced lunch program, you are eligible.

Contact CrossNet Ministries at (717)-355-2454, to sign up. The program is ongoing through the school year.
